A prep platform that gives GAMSAT students and tutors one shared source of truth.
A web platform for GAMSAT preparation — one of the highest-stakes exams on the path to graduate-entry medicine — connecting students and tutors with dedicated dashboards instead of scattered PDFs and spreadsheets.
The challenge
GAMSAT prep is high-stakes and usually fragmented. Students juggle practice questions, tutoring sessions, and progress tracking across disconnected tools, with no unified way for a tutor to actually see how a student is progressing toward exam day.
What we built
A two-sided prep platform connecting students and tutors, each with a dashboard built for what they actually need.
- Student dashboard — practice questions, mock exams, and performance analytics broken down by GAMSAT section (Humanities & Social Sciences, Reasoning, Biological & Physical Sciences)
- Tutor dashboard — manage multiple students, assign practice work, and review progress in one place
- A practice question bank and mock exam system
- Session scheduling between students and tutors
- Two distinct account types with role-based dashboards and permissions — students and tutors see entirely different views built for what they each need
Tutors see exactly where each student stands, section by section — no more piecing together progress from scattered messages and spreadsheets.
The technical foundation
Role-based access keeps the two sides of the platform properly separated — students only ever see their own progress and practice history, and tutors see the students assigned to them, not the whole platform. The same access-boundary approach we use across every build, applied here to a genuinely two-sided product.
The outcome
Students get a clear, data-backed view of where they actually stand for one of the most important exams of their career. Tutors get the tools to manage multiple students properly, instead of cobbling it together across spreadsheets and messages.
